It didn't take long until the 1MHz computer with a built-in interpreter programming language couldn't satify my creativity. So started writing programs in Assembler.

In 1987 one of my programs was published in a German computer magazine for the first time. Then more publications followed (open the magazines for details).

Somehow I decided to learn more about computer because mathematic and physic were the only subjects which I could understand in the school.

End of 1987 my study of computer science commenced. Somehow I landed to one of the most famous unviersities of the world, University Erlangen and it was my own choice.

I know, you are thinking... where the hell is Erlangen? Yes, you are not quite wrong. That's also what I have thought before I went to that university. Why do you have to know University Erlangen? It is not any other university. Two of the world biggest 'things' came from that university. If you still can remember your early physic class in the school you might remember the Ohm's Law. Georg Simon Ohm was born in Erlangen and started his study at Erlangen University.

If you are thinking that you have never heard of Ohm before. That's okay. But you must know the second biggest thing from Erlangen if you are a music lover and internet user. Namely MP3, it was invented by a professor at the University of Erlangen.

Of course I didn't let my study steal the time for my hobby.

1988 I bought my first Personal Computer AT 80286 with the so called Hercules monochrom graphic card. When the new graphic standard VGA came out I couldn't wait to upgrate my PC with a Muti-Sync Monitor. Then more accessories were bought. Unfortunately, the PC has just learnt showing color pictures on screen at that time and the accessories for video processing were unaffordable for me. For holiday videos I was using an second-hand computer Amiga 500 from Commodore.

and then...
