MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

We are delighted to announce the news that Steven has accepted a position in Music Education at the University of Wollongong and will be moving back to Australia in June!

MAREE

The 8th of March 2008 was the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day and Maree’s stage character, Sister Maria Angelica, delivered the Celebratory Eulogy. Sister Maria was ably assisted by her memory prompter, the formidable Marg McHugh.

Jen Saunders performed a powerful rendition of A Pretty Silk Flower in its premiere performance and Maree is still on Cloud Nine about it!

STEVEN

Well, Steven said it would NEVER happen, but Steven and Brad were married on March 11 in a lovely ceremony at their home in Victoria. Katie was the ring bearer!

JANUARY 2008

CAPALDO TEYCHENNE

HUH??? SSSh! They’re resting . . . So much has happened, but so little can be published about it at this stage

MAREE

Now that the Nun Fun! and TrIckY WordS series are more under control, Maree is dusting down her files and notes on the (fictitious) town of Pittslind for the proposed musical: Goanna Bar. The musical will be based on the brawls and incidents that occurred when she played piano in some of the roughest hotels and clubs in Victoria during the late 1980s

Maree combined her holiday trip to Toowoomba, Mullumbimby and Tamworth with research on Japanese gardens, rainforests and private gardens for future children’s stories. Of special interest was the bronze statue of a ‘forgotten hero’: the Australian Waler Horse which served Australia with valour during WW1

STEVEN

Steven and Brad drove to the wonderful ski village of Fernie in British Columbia where they spent Christmas with Brad’s family. They then travelled to Lethbridge, Alberta, to spend a few days of ‘home time’ with the Bakers and finally drove back to Victoria via Calgary, Banff, Revelstoke and Vancouver. What a trip! No research or creative time was undertaken at all!
