After I completed the original version of A Free Lunch in 1995, I tried my hand at writing a novel. Eventually, I managed to have it published as God Almighty, to widespread critical and popular unawareness. I would now like to make it available free on this website, but alas this would not be permitted by the the contract I signed with the publisher. Instead, all I can do is provide this link to the publisher’s webpage for the book, which includes a brief description of the novel and a link to a sample chapter (as well as more detail, albeit a little outdated, about me than I now feel fully comfortable with).

(In fact, the publisher has presumably gone out of business, judging by their website more or less vanishing. Hopefully, this wasn't entirely due to God Almighty. Nevertheless, the links above will still work, thanks to the web archive site.)

In contrast to A Free Lunch and A Switch In Time, God Almighty is a deliberate attempt at humour – although it does have a serious basis, sometimes raises issues dealt with by A Free Lunch, and even briefly describes a Free Lunch future in the final chapter. The sample chapter should give a fair indication as to whether the sense of humour is shared by potential purchasers.

I’m not asking for any payment for any of the material available on this website, but anyone with an inclination to reward me for the effort could at least consider buying God Almighty (although it will take quite a few more sales before my advance is covered and I see any royalties).
