What do we offer?
Idance is the only dance studio on the coast that offers drop-in dance classes. We provide classes for adults, teenagers & children and incorporate performance classes for those wanting to get into the industry.

How to join a class?
1. Find the class you would like to do on the CLASSES page.
(all classes are casual classes except for Mondays performance classes where regular attendance is required)
2. Show up 5-10 minutes before class time (no booking required). You can join a class at any time.
3. Classes are $15 for adults and $10 for children or you can purchase an Adult 10 Class Pass for $135 (15 years or older) or a Child 10 Class Pass for $90 (4yrs to 14yrs old). Cash or cheques only. Gift vouchers are also available.
What should I wear? What should I bring to class?
Jazz shoes or sneakers. Street gear you can move easily in. Clothing which is non-restrictive such as, dance/track pants, aerobic top, t-shirt etc. Be prepared to sweat it out, so wear layers or bring a change of clothes and towel. Water.
All classes start off with a warm-up stretch and progress to strength & isolation warm-up before moving into the dance routine.
DANCE STYLES
Hip-hop
Street style dance from New York City. Free, funky, soulful expression of movement used by artists such as Usher & Missy Elliot. In this class you will learn the hottest new moves from your favourite hip-hop/RNB & pop music film clips. Steps & routines are broken down until everybody gets it.
LEVELS
Absolute Beginners
These classes are great for people who want to learn how to dance and have no dance experience. They are fun and use simple progressions which are broken down until everybody knows the steps. Each class involves learning the latest moves to the latest music. So whether you want to build up your confidence on the dance floor or you just want to have fun, this class is for you.
Beginners
These classes are aimed for people who have a little dance experience and would like to learn more complex routines whilst still having fun. These classes move a little faster than absolute beginners classes and you will learn more of your favourite moves from the film clips. We continue to work on fitness, strength and flexibility whilst learning a new routine to the latest music.
Beginners/Intermediate
This class is for people who have mastered basic rhythm and movement and have dance experience. These classes are for great if you would like to work on technique and would like to learn more intricate steps These classes are high energy and have fresh, street smart choreography, dancing to all the latest music. So if your dedicated and want to have fun this class is for you.
Intermediate
These classes are suitable for experienced dancers with a much faster pace. Once you are here you will be sweating it out with a higher level of dance technique and challenging routines. So if you want to work hard this is the class for you.
Performance
These classes are aimed at those who want to perform what they have learnt. This class is the only class that attendance is required every week. We perform cheerleading for The Terrigal Sharks & other events like the Mardi Gras, shopping centres performances & any upcoming events we get invited to. Recently the Idance performance crew performed for Joel Turner. This class is great if you would like to enter the entertainment industry.
Open
These classes are exactly that. Open to any level of dancing. There will often be a mix of dance levels in this class so the class will be sped up and slowed down to accommodate everyone.
