Encore Accounting Services Pty Ltd is a corporation managed by a group of accounting professionals to provide quality services to the TV Commercial industry in regarding talents payment. We have many years experiences in the industry and have developed a system to meet Australian Tax Law requirements. Our services have been regarded by the industry as prompt and accurate. The reports produced by us provide useful information for cost analysis.

On the engagement of a TV Commercial, we will require the following information:

1) A copy of contract / deal memo between offshore company and the talents.

2) Details of work performed by each talent. These include buyout, date worked, start & warp time, wardrobe check, travel day, lay day, travel allowance & any other allowance that the offshore company/casting agent have agreed with talents or their agents.

3) A list of talents recalled.

4) Details of location and shoot date.

We will perform the following services:

1) Liaise with Australia production house and casting agent. Collect details performance information of each talent which includes buyout, details of date work, time check-in/check- out, overtime, travel allowance, travel day, lay day and a list of recall, wardrobe check & screen test.

2) Cross check each invoice to ensure that the payments are make according to the contract/deal memo/agreement of each talent.

3) Promptly pay all correct invoices, including session fees, recall, wardrobe check, buyout, travel day, lay day & allowance.

4) According to the Australian Taxation Law, withhold the required PAYG (tax on salary/contract payment) from talent payments and remit them to Australian Taxation Office within the required period.

5) Issue PAYG Summary to each talent.

6) Contribute Superannuation (currently is 9% on the total gross salary) to talent's funds as required by the Australian law.

7) Provide comprehensive reports to you on the completion of the payments (please allow 4 to 6 weeks).

The followings are NOT included in the engagement:

1) Negotiation of terms and conditions of the contract / deal memo with talent.

2) Prepare talent contracts and responsible for the signature and delivery of the contracts.

3) Payments for talent's meals, accommodation and per diems.

Encore Accounting Services Pty Ltd has a Workers Compensation Insurance policy to cover all its employment expenses.

The offshore company & local production company should ensure that the industrial safety laws in Australia have been complied with. It is required the offshore company and/or local production company to appoint a qualified consultant to superintend the work safety issues.

Our fees for performance of these tasks are 13% of the total of the gross remuneration and P & W (super 9%, payroll tax 6% & workers compensation insurance 1.5%) of the talents.

The 13% handling fees are subjected to GST.

Under the MEAA offshore agreement, all talents must be paid within 7 days after the work done. Therefore, the budgeted talent costs including Superannuation, payroll tax, Work Compensation and our fees must be remitted to our bank account in cleared funds prior to the commencement of the production. The final costs will be actualised at the completion of the payments, a final remittance may be required if the initial remittance is not sufficient. However, if there are remaining funds we will seek your instructions to wire back the funds.
